Shipping policy

Effective date 2026.08.07
Applies to Products sold by WildLand Australia Pty Ltd

This Shipping Policy explains how WildLand Australia Pty Ltd (Wild Land Australia, we, us or our) manages order processing, freight delivery, collection, delivery issues and related charges.

It forms part of our website Terms and Conditions and should be read together with our Return Policy and any applicable written warranty.

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Delivery Coverage and Destinations

We deliver throughout Australia, subject to freight network accessibility, courier coverage and safety requirements.

Because rooftop tents, PickupMate systems, awnings and other large accessories are heavy and bulky, delivery options may vary depending on the destination, access restrictions and available freight services.

Where direct home or business delivery is unavailable, unsafe or cost-prohibitive, we may offer delivery to a nearby freight depot, commercial address or authorised stockist or service partner.

Unless expressly agreed by us in writing, we do not ship directly to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers or international addresses outside Australia.

2. Shipping Methods and Freight Rates

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout, quoted individually or provided in accordance with an advertised promotional offer.

Freight rates depend on product dimensions, weight, delivery destination and the selected service type (for example, standard road freight, depot pickup or tailgate delivery).

Where a fixed, flat-rate, promotional or free shipping offer applies:

  • it applies only to eligible products and eligible delivery postcodes or depot locations specified in the offer;
  • it excludes remote, off-grid, island, regional, re-consignment or special access deliveries unless expressly stated; and
  • we reserve the right to contact the customer before dispatch if the delivery location falls outside standard freight coverage or incurs extraordinary carrier surcharges.

If extraordinary freight costs apply and the customer does not wish to pay the additional cost, either party may cancel the affected order before dispatch, and a full refund will be provided.

3. Order Processing and Dispatch Times

Orders for in-stock items are generally processed and dispatched within 2 to 5 business days after full payment is received, subject to stock availability, public holidays and pre-dispatch quality checks.

Pre-order, custom, modified or backordered items will be dispatched in accordance with the estimated timeframe provided at the time of purchase or as updated by us.

Dispatch times are estimates only and may be affected by peak periods, weather events, carrier operations or supply chain factors.

4. Estimated Delivery Timeframes

Estimated transit times after dispatch are generally as follows:

  • Metropolitan areas: 2 to 7 business days
  • Regional areas: 5 to 10 business days
  • Remote, island or outer regional areas: 7 to 14 business days

These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Wild Land Australia is not liable for reasonable delivery delays caused by third-party freight carriers or events beyond our reasonable control.

5. Delivery Arrangements for Large and Heavy Items

Products such as PickupMate systems, rooftop tents and large hard-shell accessories require special handling due to their size, weight and packaging.

Large items are generally delivered by heavy freight carriers using tailgates, flatbed trucks or specialized transport equipment.

The customer must ensure that:

  • the delivery address has clear, safe and suitable vehicular access for delivery trucks;
  • a capable adult is present at the time of delivery to receive, inspect and sign for the consignment, unless an Authority to Leave is validly arranged; and
  • suitable assistance or equipment is available to handle or move the product after unloading, where required.

Freight drivers are generally required to unload items to ground level at the front of the property or delivery dock only. Drivers are not required to lift items upstairs, enter private residential premises, unpack goods or assist with installation.

Safety Notice: Customers must use appropriate lifting equipment, multi-person assistance or professional installation services when moving or installing heavy or bulky items.

6. Depot Pickup

Where depot pickup is selected or agreed, the product will be delivered to a nominated freight depot.

We will notify the customer once the product is ready for collection.

The customer must collect the product within the depot’s specified holding period (generally 3 to 5 business days after arrival).

The customer is responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle, trailer, tie-downs and assistance to safely load and transport the product from the depot.

Depot storage fees, return freight charges or re-delivery fees resulting from uncollected goods may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

7. Authority to Leave and Delivery Unattended

We strongly recommend that all deliveries be signed for in person.

If a customer requests or authorises an "Authority to Leave" (ATL), or if a carrier leaves a product unattended in accordance with the customer’s instructions:

  • the risk of loss, theft or post-delivery damage passes to the customer upon delivery to the nominated location; and
  • the customer remains entitled to all non-excludable rights and consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to pre-existing faults, incorrect goods or damage caused before delivery.

8. Redelivery and Unsuccessful Delivery Charges

If a delivery attempt fails because:

  • no authorised person was available to receive the delivery where required;
  • the delivery address provided by the customer was incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible; or
  • the location was unsafe for the carrier to complete delivery,

the carrier may hold the goods, take them to a local depot, or return them to us.

The customer may be responsible for reasonable redelivery fees, re-consignment fees or storage charges incurred as a result, except where the failed delivery was caused by our error or carrier fault.

9. Delivery Damage, Transit Loss and Shortages

Customers should inspect the exterior packaging and products promptly upon delivery.

If a product arrives with visible physical damage, missing components or incorrect items, the customer should:

  • note the damage on the carrier’s delivery consignment note before signing, where possible;
  • take clear photographs or video of the damaged packaging, shipping label and damaged goods; and
  • notify Wild Land Australia within 2 business days after delivery to help us lodge a carrier claim promptly.

Reporting damage within 2 business days helps ensure carrier transit claims can be processed quickly, but failure to report within this timeframe does not exclude or limit any right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a product is lost or damaged during transit before completed delivery, we will arrange a repair, replacement, missing part or full refund in accordance with your legal rights.

10. Title and Risk

Risk of loss or damage to the product passes to the customer upon completed delivery to the nominated delivery address or upon collection from our premises or a designated freight depot.

Title to the product passes to the customer when full payment for the product and applicable delivery charges has been received by us.
